Practical Social Media Mgmt
Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Social Media or equivalent experience with social media tools.
Pre-Work Assignment: Participants must bring their log-in information for all social media streams they want to explore in class. If you do not have an account please set-up an account prior to class. This can be an official account with your department or a temporary account. This will be a hands-on interactive class in the computer lab. Are you looking to create a social media program for your department or take your existing one to the next level? This full-day workshop is packed with tips, tools and techniques for creating, measuring and monitoring a successful social media presence for your department. Designed for participants who have an understanding of their social media goals and the sites they will use, this course covers the nuts and bolts of specific social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook, and includes time for participants to dig into your profiles and pages and learn how to follow best practices and get the best results from their efforts. Class feedback and experience will adjust the nature of the hands on work we do. You will leave this course with a greater confidence and comfort level in the management of your personal and professional social media presence.
